Last month, we had the awesome honour of being part of Lysa and Alex's wedding at Greyhawk Golfclub in Cumberland, Ontario. Their perfect day was so special and filled with many romantic little details. Everything from all the bridesmaid's gloves knitted by Lysa's grandmother, to the big fluffy snowflakes falling romantically on their shoulders. The wedding party made every moment a riot, from impromptu dance moves at the spa to sipping whiskey from their flasks like badass Captain Morgans.
These guys are gorgeous, what can we say?! We have been planning Justine and Dave's engagements session for a few months now, but due to busy schedules, we weren't able to nail down a date until a few weeks ago! The location for this shoot is particularly special to both of them because it is where they had one of their first dates and where Dave ultimately proposed to Justine! There is even a wooden bench with their names carved on it!
Wedding videography and videographers in general have come a long way since your aunt or uncle's shaky handheld camcorder or the 6-hour one angle, stationary camera setup in the corner. The wedding film industry has evolved so much that wedding videos now look like epic movie trailers, with captivating story lines, beautiful characters (you, of course!), and amazing music to set the tone.
Before getting engaged to my fiance, I never thought of having a videographer on my wedding day. If you are currently planning your wedding, you must know that wedding expenses can stack up pretty quickly if you do not pay attention to your budget. Before getting engaged, Michael and I thought of wedding videography as one of those luxuries we did not want to spend money on. We said, all we need is a fantastic photographer, and that should be enough. Now that we are in the final few months before our wedding day, we have gone full 180 on videography and have put it on top of our vendor priority list.
Winter weddings are fun and beautiful! Since December of last year, we have had five "winter" weddings and a couple more to look forward to before the spring arrives.
